The Biggest Klutz
If you read my posts, you've probably come across the one where I mentioned something about my sister stamping me a klutz when it comes to cd-care.
She always says:
- "Put the disc back in its case, you dork!"
- "Stop using your foot to place it in the player/case/cakebox!"
- "Don't step on them!"
- "The F#$k are you saying I don't listen to my Sponge cola cd?"
- "Oh, so the cd magically ended up under your bed?"
- "Look what you did, you doofus! Totally scratched my cd!"
- "You're the biggest cd slob in the world."
- "You don't peel off the prints on the discs, you idiot."
- "I knew this would happen."
- Scratch it.
- Break it in half.
- Peel the graphic print on the cd.
- Lose it.
- All of the above.
I remember atesting to these things when she first told me. i wasn't the one who misplaced her Maroon 5 cd, or the Rooney, or Jet.
But I recall:
- losing my Nickelback cd and voila, finding it a year later under my bed cushion while I was looking for my comb. (How it got there, I have no idea.)
- The burned cd with the Nirvana songs that I used to blind my dogs with. (One of them now has Cataracts, though I doubt that that's my fault.)
- The Cd I borrowed from Lovely that I lost, and promised that it will soon be replaced with the same tracklist. I can't even remember when I lied about replacing it...
- The rock collection disc that I dropped by accident and stepped on and was momentarily used as a mini sled for my heels.
- The disc I threw at the cockroach on the wall. It broke in half. The pest lived. Dammit.
- And save the worst for last: The most recent death of a cd under my belt... my Sandwich cd.
Nooooo!!!!!!!!
I Thought, "Oooh, cool. You can also peel off the print on the disc."
So I peeled it off. How was i supposed to know that the shiny thing where the music is stored stuck to the graphic sticker? So now all that's left of it is a useless transparent plactic thing you call a cd corpse.
I am currently mourning.
I guess I'll buy a new one. Or maybe have it burned.
What do you think?
